Default NEED HELP! Calling all D-Series tranny guru's!

Before I get into anything, I'll first specify that this is all going
into my FWD '90 Civic Wagon, cable operated, D-Series tranny.

Right now I have the Si case (with gears, of course ) with a Phantom
Grip installed. (If you ask people's opinions about a Phatom Grip,
you get a split crowd. My personal experience has been great! Even
with unequal lenght axles, there's no tork steer and handling has
improved.)

Anyway, my plan is the use a ZC tranny and intermediate shaft and
swap in an Si Final Drive (most likely 5th as well, for some highway
economy). However, I was told that the P.G. for the Si won't fit into
a ZC tranny!? I've been told it's different (maybe because of a
personal bias against Phantom Grips? ), but all I see is 2 'L3'
tranny's... But if I use the ZC case and int. shaft, then I require
the L & R cv axles intended for a '90 - ''93 Integra.

My second idea, was to keep the Si case, put the ZC's 1st to 4th
gears in, and use an intermediate shaft intended for an AWD Civic
Wagon. This way it's pretty much a guaranty that I'll be able to
still use the P.G., but the question is, would that intermediate
shaft fit into the Si tranny? In this case, I think I could most
likely use front cv axles intended for an AWD Civic Wagon as well.

I don't suppose anyone could clear this up for me?!?!?!?

I think I'll swing by my Honda dealership one day and just ask to
compare part numbers. I want to start planning this out now, before
things become a major problem. Right now, there's a small fart when
it goes into 3rd sometimes.

Does anyone have an extra AWD's intermediate shaft and FWD D-Series
tranny lying around that they can do a test fit for me? Any help
would be greatly appreciated!
