Default need help b20 wont rev pass 2K

I just had this problem today. When I was driving about 5 mins from start up the car just wont pass 2000RPM. Its starts to bog out and sputter. No CEL at all, and I tried using another ecu same results. What can be the cause of this problem? Need help please. EXTRA INFO: When it starts to bog out I unhook battery and let it sit for about 2 mins its goes back to normal again but then yet about 5 or more mins into the driving it does it again.

common guys nobody ever experienced this problem. I found out something new to it today. I noticed when it starts acting up I hold the gas pedal to a certain RPM like 2000 then itll drop to idle then rev up up to 2000 then drop and so on and so forth until i let go the gas then itll idle. When im driving then i step on the gas itll rev until whatever RPm but then itll go back down and go back up again. I know kind of confusing.

Nope didnt touch anything after the nitrous install maybe 2 months back. If its a vacuum leak shouldnt it do that right when you turn on the car, this one it only happens when the car has been on for about 5 or so mins.

Check the TPS, maybe it's going west once the heat of the engine warms it up.94

so does anybody has a solution to this problem. I already swapped out my distributor, new spark plugs, new wires, can it be like injectors? Because when it starts doing this I can rev it sometimes but in nuetral and when i put it in gear it does it again after ahwile of driving so slow then it goes back to normal again.....what the hell can be wrong.

HELP anybody. Ive done research but I also did all the things that people are saying but came up with the same results. Changed out the internals of dizzy to all brand new including cap and rotor, swapped out the MAP sensor, changed out the wires brand new also but still the same results it still does the same thing. Whats wierd is that it just comes and goes. For sometime while driving it do it then after about 2 minutes itll go away again. Ideas anybody?

well i have a 96 v6 accord with minor mods. my car runs great cold and still runs great after being warmed up for a while but then it starts to studder and bog around 5k rpms then moves to 4k then to 3k then wont move past 2k or even just dies. i noticed it wont throw a code unless you stay on the gas and studders for an extended period of time. but ounce it does youll probably get a p1381 or p1361 code the 81 code is cylinder positon intermittent and 61 which is TDC sensor intermittent. now iv been doind research on this and they say the CYP cylinder position sensor is in the distributor housing but not in mine just ignition control module. so im guess the tdc and cyp sensor are the same thing with different codes. so check that TDC or cam position sensor had good connections no corrosion or anyhting then check for continuity between the PCM connector and the sensor connector if its more then 1 ohm you have a bad wire. but most likely its just the sensor that runs around $75-$150 depending on where you get the sensor. but in any case try to make it trow a code so you can atleast tell where to start. and sometimes you can have trouble codes and the MIL light wont come on.

hey i have the same problem it starts i leave it running for 5 min and it turns off by its self im going to check if its the dizzy b/c my dizzy use to be obd2 and i converted to obd1. so i want to see if i didnt connceted something right. plus i try steping on the gas and it wont go over like 2500 rpms and when i try to turn on the car i step on the gas and it still goes off. i will try my best once i have found the problem. i will let you know.

try checking your map sensor see if the plug for the map sensor is not connceted to the other sensor that is on the left side of the tb. try switching them.

and it gives me code 10 and 14. im running a stock 5 speed po6 computer.

TPS sensors are either bad or switched around. had the same issue with my integra, had the two TPS sensors backwards, switch them around and it ran great
