I have a jdm b16 swap and my starter just went out. Ive searched for some threads on this and i was wondering if it really matters if the starter came from an obd0/1/2 car? I also heard any b-series starter will work on my jdm b16. If anyone can back this up and let me kno its true that i can use any b-series starter it would help a lot. thanks

 

The starter only has a positive and negative wire going to it, so there is no 'obd 0/1' starters.
the ground and positive connections generally stay the same. Just make sure you get a starter for a 5-spd and not automatic as they are different

 

starters are different in a few applications. let us know what year you are dealing with and we can help. i know for sure starters off obd1 b series engines fit all obd1 and obd2 b series AND SOHC vise versa. i have tried it and it works. if your engine is an older obd0 b16...then u will need a usdm 90-91 integra starter..changed my friends starter thats how i know.

 

mines an obd1 b16, i just payed for a starter off an '00 civic si, same motor just newer, should work...
