need help with ac
Anything is possible, however the 2 cars use different compressors with different mounting, [96-98 is a "pad" mount w/ 5.25" pulley, 2000 is a "tangent" mount w/4" pulley] and different manifolds, [A/C lines off compressor] the condenser is the same, the big problem is the evaporator, the 96-98 Civic evaporator will most likely not fit the 2000 civic evap. housing. 94
Ok sounds good but now I have another question I have a 2000 civic hatch dx model with b18c itr motor and I was wondering what ac parts can I take off of a 99 or 2000 and use I mainly wanted a si ac kit but can't fins one but found a 99 one and was wondering what part is useable but know I would have to get some so part as will so if u know what I can use off of a 99 please let me know so I don't have to spend money on all the part I don't need off of a 99 and when someone has a whole ac kit off a 99 doesn't matter what model right? Can it b any model of a 99 civic and would work?
A/C parts should be kept original to the car when possible to avoid conflicts. If you are driving a 2000 DX hatch, use parts for that car and use a bracket (or modify as required) that will mount that compressor to the engine.
