Currently I have a OBD-0 PR3 ECU with a ghetto ebay style "Spoon" chip. i bought the ECU this way). This is running an LS/Vtec set up. The chip activates vtec at 4400 and I thought this was too low. Now that I have put over 500 miles on the engine I took my car over 4k and finally hit vtec. The car seems to hesitate when vtec hits but as soon as I get to 5k it screams to redline.

Anyone recommend a better chip?

why dont you cut the j1 jumper and run stock for now????
