Default N20 bottle question...

Before I go twisting the head off my bottle, can somebody tell me if there is an o-ring seal that makes it airtight between the head and the can? I've got a small leak at about 6 lbs, and I REALLY don't wanna buy a new bottle...

you are sure that you dont have a small leak in the emergency purge valve....if you do you'll see a small hole off to the side, its o.k. to look, by taking the cap off it wont hurt it to look, the reason i ask is that i had it done just from having a bottle sit in the garage on a hot day (SHHHEIIITTTY!!)

try getting a couple of guys to hold onto the bottle (on the ground) and take a cresent wrench, and tighten the square part of the whole fitting, that is what happened to me, i ordered a new valve assembly (the whole top thing) and it still leaked, well the guy at the shop grabbed a huge cresent wrench quick and fixed the leak

hope that helps!

BIG tapered pipe threads. Try the big wrench idea.

I would pinpoint the leak. Use some dishwater soap and water mix and put it over areas you think are leaking.

but in short, yes there is a seal between the main fitting and the bottle..

good luck again

with that much PSI coming out, i don't think u need to try the dishwather soap and water mix, but if the bottle is empty and you still can't find it...that would probably be the best idea!
