Default my vtec won't work

Im runnig the gsr motor off the ls ecu, but im also using the apexi vafc. When i hit my vtec setting it seems to just bog down or move slowly in the vtec rpms. I checked my wires and connection and they seem fine. Is it because im using the ls ecu so the engine isn't reading any vtec signal? Please help need vtec!

simple things to check would be vtec solenoid and oil level/pressure. I'm not too familiar with the LS ecu, but this may be causing you problems also...Good luck..

bu a gsr computer, make it much easier. Then you dont have to worry about tuning the fuel maps with the afc, the ecu already has it

A gsr also has more aggressive timing and can open the secondaries. In the mean time make sure your not setting you crossover point too low. Just because its in vtec doesnt mean itll make power.
