my spark plugs
sorry, no pic, but just thought id share and get some comments..
checked my plugs for the first time yesterday, cars got 7k miles, 2nd oil change so far also done yesterday. plugs where quite white and semi powdery. i didnt do a 'real' plug test, just wanted to see how they look with 7k miles on em. they are ngk irridiums. interested plugs, ive never seen such a small electrode! very small and pointy..
i know white is typically indicative of lean, but the car does run quite rich, as seen by my caked on carbon exhaust.
so, two questions -
1. think the plugs are ok?
2. screw acura and their 100k plug changes, but how often is good with these fancy schmanchy irridiums?
im wondering if i should change to the standard 7k's or summin and see how they run, is the only difference with IR plugs the long lasting claims?
thanks all

same thing happened to my denso iridiums, so i replaced them with stock NGks and found that i had lost about 40miles per tank so i put them back in and the gas mileage has gone back to around 300 per tank. Possibly because they operate at higher temperature they turn white...plus my car seems more responsive lower down than with stock plugs, so theyre staying in!
