My new pipe bender....and problems...?HELP
just ordered this pipe bender from harborfreight.com http://www.harborfreight.com/c...35336
and it says "perfect for automotive apps" but i tried to bend a piece of exhaust piping and it creased it...twice..and a third try yielded a flat top and only a 45 degree bend... i want 90 degree but thats when it creases...HELP on suggestions and such. i dont mind if it has ripples at the bottom of the bend, just not CREASED

Those things are just that, a *pipe* bender. I believe they're made for bending conduit. I also think pipe dimensions are different from tubing dimensions. For automotive type bends I'm afraid what you really want is a mandrel bender which costs $$$$.

You want a mandrel bender, or a good TUBE bender. They are TOTALLY different.
Pipe= HVAC, Heating, Cooling all that stuff... cheap exhausts at midas.
tube= roll cages, mandrel exhausts, cool stuff like that.
A proper TUBE bender usually has a piece that slides inside the tube to prevent it from creasing or deforming.
