This started when I removed my stereo harness that had MSD2step hooked up to it. As of now, the car will go up to 5k rpms then drop power as if no spark is getting through and the car will turn off. The check engine light and Ebrake light will flash then turn off.I double check my VAFC, MSD 6AL/cap/blaster2/2step wiring and it's all legit. I'm running a JDM B16A w/ a chipped PM6 ecu. Could it be a dead coil? Dead plugs? Low battery? Dead 6AL box? Dead ECU? HELP!!!! I have to drive 400mls next week to get home!!!

 

Do you have exposed wires from the harness? Or are they all cut flush?

 

are you grounding something out behind the dash???.... i don't know thats the first thing that came to my head, good luck!

That's what I thought too, but I will triple check. Feels like the tach sensor is grounding out somewhere but can't find where.

Have you checked the wires yet?

 

nothing is grounding.

 

All fuses are good?
All MSD connections are tight?
No codes?
Plugs look okay?

 

okay i got it, it was my intake air temp. sensor module. damn crimpers, gotta get a soldering iron.
