Default my e brake doesn't hold

hey guys, gotta problem. my e brake doesn't hold so when i park i always have to leave it in gear. but it sucks cause if the incline is too big, my car still rolls back when it's in gear. is there a way to fix this? i have an eg with drums on the back. i already tightened the cable by the handle already and still nothing. my shoes on the back are good. any suggestions?

Adjust the star wheel inside the drums. But not too tight you will warp the drums. Just click the star wheel five clicks and put the drum back on, spin the drum and continue this until the drum starts to scuff the shoes.

You put it too tight the shoes are out too far. Use two screw drivers one to lift up the stopper and the other to reverse the star wheel in the opposite direction. loosen up alot and push the shoes together. then tap the drum on and spin. If its loose still tighten alittle at a time.

If im not mistaken there should be an access hole for the star wheel on the inside of the brake assembly, so you dont have to take off and on your drum.

ya but if you do it too tight fom the access hole its hard to loosen and get the drum off. If you are doing this for the first time better to do with the drum off. Make sure to clean out all the brake dust.

you want the drum to fit as snug as pussible but still spin when you put it on. I did this and my ebrake is super strong for fat *** draging drifts in the rain
