help! my car sometimes idles at extremely low rpms and the moment i engage 1st or reverse gear, the car stalls. on some occassions, it stalls the moment i clutch in, even before engaging the gear. this happens very unpredictably, and after i re-start the car several times and try to carry on with my drive, it usually behaves normally again.

does anyone know what the possible reasons for this may be??

Maybe you need a new clutch. Check out your clutch cable.
