When i turn on my car soon after it shuts off again. i have a b16a2 in my 92 civic hatch. I thought the problem was my fuel pump because after the car turns off the fuel pump does not whine when turning the key. So after i changed my fuel pump i still had the same problem. Any Ideas???

check your fuses if your fuel pump isn't priming

 

the fuel pump primes and the car turns on but after a while of the car being on it suddenly shuts off. And then when i try to turn the car on again the motor cranks but the fuel pump doesnt prime.

 

it's your main fuel relay under your dash, near the steering wheel.

either replace it, or take the cover off and resolder all of the connections. i just resoldered everything, and haven't had a problem like yours since. this is coming from someone with a 265k mile car.

 

Definitely sounds like main relay. Either resolder like whatnoob said or buy another one.

 

im going to try the main relay today because i have a brand new one sitting in my house. As soon as i try it ill let you guys know.
