My car hates being cold!!
When I start my car in the mornings It dies (even when it is warn outside); unless I hold the rpms at about 2000 for about one minuet. Then, once it stays running, it only idles at about 550.
Once my car has reached "warm" it idles at about 700. I have tried everything to fix it.
What could this be?? BTW: my car is a 93 Integra.
Please help me. Thanks

I havent really noticed it till you said anything, but if I rev it to about 5 or 6000rpms -- it smokes and smells rich.
If you have anymore ideas please help me.

My only idea is that the cold start portion of the idle air control valve isn't working right. If you can swap another one on that would be helpful in diagnosing.
Well... I busted out the ole' Haynes Manual.
I tested my IACV-- I started my engine and let it run until the cooling fan kicked on. Then, I pulled the connector that goes to the IACV-- my engine RPM stayed the same.
So I am gessing that I have a faulty IACV.
Thanks again

WHAT??
I tested the connector that goes to the IACV. It definately is getting power, so I guess my IACV is just fawked.
I have and extra one laying around though, so its all gravy.
