Default My 99'

Alright here is the deal

I recently bought a 99' Honda Civic. I'm looking for speed. It's all stock, except, well I'm definetly getting rims because its got hubs right now, and im sorry, i just dont like hubs. I'm a little worried about the weight though. Right now all stocke, it runs 10 second 0-60mph, what rims would be good for this, I'm thinking 18-19" white rims, w/e tell me what you think

Now on to the important stuff,

I'm new to this, so ill be vague. Tell me good brands for an affordable price and if the items ill list are bad, good, worth it, useless, to heavy ect....

Here is what im thinking

Cold air intake,
Exhaust System
New Headers (will this increase hp?)
Or
Turbo/Supercharge (not sure what this is, but ive heard alot about it, can you tell me more on it?)

Anything i missed

Right now im just doing basics

Ive been doing some research, seems that the super charger possibly would be to much for my lil civic, am i right or did i read it wrong, anyways its got me thinking tell me about exhaust systems, intakes, ect.. or i read into a hondata anyways tell me about the stuff i listed before the turbo charger, also im thinking ill prolly trade this civic in for a better investment, one that wont fall apart at 130mph. Any ideas on this maybe my info is wrong if so correct me. thanks

You need to read and use the search button. The stuff you want to know can be found by just hanging out and reading. Buy a magazine and get a big credit limit.

Study turbo or hybrid(swapping motors), and you'll have a plan soon. Just go to this site a lot and you'll learn fast.

There is one thing you must do now, and if you don't; you WILL regret it. Listen carefully.......
I know it's going to be hard, and I know you want to get started working on your car, but don't. Save all your money, don't even buy new tires yet, save every penny and don't buy anything for six months. Yes, I know, six months is a long time to wait when your excited about working on your car, but I guarantee you, that if you buy something right off hand, you WILL regret it later. Just read, and research has much information you can, and make a plan for your car.
If you do your research, and read these forums religiously; in six months you should know enough to start investing your money WISELY into parts and work. If you go buy a intake and some headers and other things, you might do some research later, and find those weren't the best for your application....wasted time and money. There are different routes to making power, and performance, and you cannot simply ask "which intake is better", you must research what best suits you needs, and long term goals for the car.
I bought my Si in May, and the only thing I have now that is aftermarket are Koni yellow adjustables, because I am doing my homework, and I am not going to waste my money on parts that don't fit my application. So, please do yourself a favor and keep asking questions like you are now; and learn everything and then you can buy parts-- don't buy parts, and then do the research. Good luck, there is a wealth of imformation here, just tap into it

very good advice seano. Definitely educate yourself on everything you can until you feel confident that you know what you're buying, and know what you're doing.

That's some good text.

If you decide to not do that though, you can always come here to search for it, or ask something about it.
