Default Is it to much presssure (C&R Radiator Cap)

Like the topic says I just got a c&r radiator for my 96 Ls. The Radiator Cap it came with is 20psi one, you guys think its to much pressure for my system????

Hell yes! I had one that came on my C&R, and it blew out my heater core, the weakest link...

Call up C&R and ask for a normal cap, they will send you one for free.

They ship the same radiator out with a normal cap, and a high pressure cap, don't know why.

No, the C&R neck is thicker, so you use their own Standt cap.

Well I kinda figured it was about 5-6 Psi Higher than stock What else would I affect if I used that 20psi cap???
