Hey all. Ill give you a brief rundown on my ignition setup. I have the MSD 6AL box, blaster SS coil, and msd distributor cap. Engine management is AEM EMS if that matters.

Ok so heres what happened...I changed my alternator the other day, and i started my car up after and everything was good. Well when I started driving my car was missing, like my plugs were bad. So i figured it was just that. Well as i get closer to my house, my car starts making a weird noise, something like it would sound like if you stick something into a fan. So i just stick it out till I get home where I can figure it out. Well as i pull into my driveway, the car dies, and thats it...it wont restart. I look at my alternator belt, and its all sheared and damaged as if it tried to hop the pulley. It cranks, so its not battery/alt related(i dont think). I tried to test for spark by putting a screwdriver in the plug wire and putting it next to a ground. Didnt see anything. I pulled off my distributor cap thinking it may be my igniter, but I dont even have one. Anyone had similar problems to this??? Im supposed to be selling the car soon, and it needs to be running

 

same thing happend to me on sunday.. it just got pickd up and towed to a shop tonight.. ill post it up wen i find out wat went wrong.. i had the same set up also w/the box and all

 

awesome, yours kind of get progressively worse with the missing and such too? Im gonna borrow my buddies msd 6al from his mustang and see if my car starts with it.
