Default MSD Ignition Questions

So I wired up my MSD ignition and blaster SS coil, today, And i go to start it up, the car has been sitting in the garage forawhile and it wouldnt start.

It ran fine before this swap, I used the pro cap, SCI box, and the blaster SS. All these parts were used so i quickly started to jump to conclustions.

But I looked in the manual and it said to do a trigger test, so I followed the instructions and it was producing a spark, but only if you held the wire very close to the ground, and it was relitively weak, sometimes stronger.(Used stock coil as well with same results)

My battery is very low, To the point where itll barely crank over from sitting(radio useage, door open kinda things) I dont have my voltmeter with me but, Im wonderng if Maybe the weak spark is due to the low battery voltage and not the componets?

The manual didnt really say what voltage the battery had to be at for the ignition to work, So I was wondering if anyone had any personal experices here so I can put two and two together

CHARGE battery
weak battery can cause all kinds of issues
put a jumper box or jumper cables and try again
i have had similiar problems with weak battery, enough to turn over but not enough to start

good luck
