Another msd problem...
I jus bought a crx with a msd ignition, blaster coil and msd spark plugs already installed. It ran good for about 2 days then I beated on it the third day. That day the cars exhaust sounded very different from wha it would normally sound and it was running vert sluggish. That same day I was crusin at a normal speed when the car jus died on me. The headlights and everthng else worked,so I tried to crank it over and it would try but nothn would happen..I even tried to push start and still nothing..I was told that the msd most likely blew my stock distributor..I'm not sure if I should go and buy a msd distributor or if it is another problem..any help

because if your engine started to sound different before it died it doesnt sound like an ignition problem to me. spark either works or it doesnt, know what i mean?

check for spark to make sure thats the problem. you should know how to do this.

if you arent getting spark your igniter could have gone bad, the igniter is inside the distributor.
in the big picture... sensors tell ecu when to fire, ecu tells igniter, igniter tells msd, msd tells blaster coil, coil sparks the distributor.

theres tons of things that can go bad. we can help you more when you reply with what you have found.
