motor mount inserts?
OK. I have an 89 CRX DX with a ZC. I would really like to harden up the mounts. I have heard of using a urethane resin, but I recently heard about something else. 3M windo-weld? has anybody heard of that. I would think I would get hard enough, but will it resist gas and oil and that kindof stuff? Does anybody have any ideas on this?
I just sucked it up and spent the $30 on the ES inserts and never had a problem with them. I have heard of the 3M window-weld, but its for windows not mounts. Don't know if they will hold up to the harsh underhood enviorment.
You can buy poly in the tube and fill them that way as well. It will be basically the same thing as the inserts but cheaper. Keith V did a write up in the crx forum about it.
does it matter the condition of the existing mounts, with the inserts? How hard are they? I'm not worried about them being to hard, as long as they hold up.
