I just bought an s2000 with power coated rims. I was just wondering if anyone ever had this done and around how much it cost. I called the shop and they coudn't really give me an exact price not even an estimate. Thanks.

 

My buddy, charges me and my homeboys 10/rim. He powder coats stuff for us at work during his lunch and pretty much just charges us for material and enough to get a tank of gas. I've heard some people paying $40-50/rim though. Its alot better than painting, if done right, the rim will bend before the power coat will chip off.

 

Do you know about how much it is to take off.

 

Aircraft remover or lacquer thinner and a scrub brush will take it off.

 

Won't that scratch the wheels????

Aircraft stripper will probably take that stuff right off.
