Your A/C circuit (wiring/relay/connection/coil) sounds like it has an intermittent problem- most likely a relay or the coil getting hot and losing its hold on the clutch or even the compressor thermal protector kicking in.

This may sound stupid but be sure there is a little slack in your throttle cable. A cable that is too tight can cause idle surging. What is the RPM when you disconnect the IACV? You are going to have to do a sweep test on your TPS to ensure it is good. You can use a volt meter hooked up to the center TPS wire and ground and slowly open the throttle while you watch the meter. A graphing meter would be very beneficial here. Ideally you should be at 0.49 volts closed.

OK thanks man. About the A/C compressor coil or relay, that's what he said was getting hot and like cutting out or something... once again he was just running thru and he had a thick accent... could BARELY understand what he was saying. Next... I checked out my tps the other day... it was .52 at close and like 4.58 at WOT... funny though... I THINK the throttle cable MIGHT be too tight. Not sure... but a possibility. BUT... unless this would cause the a/c to act like how it is... the a/c in itself is another problem whether it affects idle or not. Gonna go check out the tps again and the cable and come back and tell u how it went. THANKS A LOT for the help man.

Well... checked the throttle cable... it wasn't too tight ... loosened it up anyhow... no change. Also, checked the TPS voltage... it was it .52 at close and 4.58 at WOT. I think it IS bent a little so it might be holding a little open at idle which MIGHT be causing the fluctuating idle. Come to think of it now... that could be possible cause. Maybe the throttle plate being bent affects the TPS voltage and also the idle, and the iacv has to compensate for that and probably throws the CEL every now and then when it's pushed out of it limits? anyway also, i unplugged the IACV after the car got warmed up and all... the idle didn't even budge... the CEL came on... still no change in idle. That's the update.

The bent throttle plate would actually cause a vacuum leak- air will be passing by it when it should be closed- this would cause a fluctuating idle. The IACV would be commanded closed to reduce idle speed- throwing an idle control code over time. The easiest way to check if your throttle plate sloses fully is to unplug the IACV and turn the idle screw in fully (clockwise). The engine should die, if it doesn't, you have a vacuum leak (either the throttle plate or elsewhere)

ok i forgot to update:

I'm almost sure it's the throttle plate now though. I loosened up the cable and then drove it today. And u feel the throttle sticking/binding. Like when I come off the gas, you feel the throttle stay open a little, then it suddenly drops. Kinda makes the car jerk a little. It might be hard to explain without actually feeling it but i know now it's because of the throttle body. That explains the voltage being off. It's 0.52 closed vs. 0.49 where it's supposed to be, and 4.58 vs 4.50 where it's supposed to be. Since loosening up the throttle cable I really feel it now. Gonna try a new throttle body soon.
