More revs?

What are the bare necessities for my valvtrain to be albe to handle 8500rpm with itr/ctr cams? I am running a 1st gen b16.

personally i dont think 8500 rpm is gonna hurt a b16a valvetrain. i dont think youll start floatin valves until 9000. but double valvesprings are a good idea and also titanium retainers. ferrea makes really good ****. also get their import clip kit.

I agree, 8500 shouldn't be too much of a problem on a B series..

the stock redline on my buddy's jdm b16a1 is 8300, so 200 rpm shouldn't hurt.

you can run the stock valvetrain to 8500 but i wouldnt go higher, your gonna need a set of cams to make power tho, the stock cams stop making power at about 81-8300 depending on mods.
