Default modifying stock GSR IM

other than port matching is there any advantage to doing this. to improve performance & keep the low end power w/ the dual runner setup

what modifications can be make to a stock GSR IM?

I just modified mine.... I have turbo (wouldn't do it w/ N/A) I took the butterfly valves out of the VVIS (Varible Volume Induction System) Pretty much eliminates the short runner engagement at 5800rpm. The butterfly valves (similar to throttle plates) open at 5800rpm, prior w/ stock engine are supposed to provied greater low-end torque, but I noticed that before I pulled my motor out, when the VVIS short runners opened, a gang of additional power came in. I just unbolted the manifold halfs, removed the 4 valves (affixed by 2 philips head screws apiece) but kept the axis rod which they opened on in place. I'd get thet JG Victor X, but money is short, as I'm rebuilding my motor right now.
