I use Royal Purple, but it's only because I've already lost one engine due to my dumb *** letting it starve of oil. I got a brand spanking new head put on when I got the new one, so I've been babying it. No real extra protection from RP, but I don't have to change the oil nearly as often, and I do it myself.
Well i change my oil every 1500miles or less. with oem filter. i have B18C1 i baby it too but once or twice a day i might go to 8k rpm. i was using mobil 1 but they was out of it so i picked up syntec.

Dont u see more heat in the track then anywhere else?

What a waste. That's too often for oil changes.
On the street and track I've used several different lubricants. Mobil 1, Royal Purple, Amsoil and Red Line.
I'll say that there were noticeable changes in my engines attitude with Royal Purple and Amsoil. They really did make it run smoother throughought the powerband.
Mobil and Red Line were good, but did nothing to impress me.

i'm a fan of mobil 1. my gsr is the 3rd honda i've used it on, and use it in the sti. change it every 4500 miles and its great. the reason i use it was about 7 yrs ago i had an accord, thought it ran fine, then when i went to do an oil change on it i put mobil 1 in it and it ran soo much smoother. i've just stuck with it ever since.
