Default Misfire at high revs???

Ran my car down the quarter last night. It developed a misfire at the top of 3rd and 4th. I have a standard B16a1 with extractors, 2 1/2 mandrel system and a CAI. I only have a motorcycle battery in the car ATM. I pulled the plugs when I got home and they looked lean but I don't know if that is from racing or the drive home.
Q: Will the small battery cause the miss?
Q2: It shouldn't be running lean with these minimal mods, Should it?
The symptoms are of a fuel system inadequecy (sp) but I have a HUGE fuel system. Only prob is the only FPG I'ev got is under the bonnet.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!1

Sounds like you hit the rev limiter.

You could try MSD Ignition as well.

First thing I would check is your timing, and advance mechanism. Even if your timing is set right at idle, but it advances too much(or too little) at higher revs it can misfire. Too much advance would also explain the lean condition. You will neeed a timing light w/ advance function to check.

if you have an internal type coil (ie theres only 4 wires coming off your dist. cap you should consider buying a msd modifier cap so you can use an external coil. this will greatly improve spark to the plugs.

First check your voltage from the bat. make sure its at least 12vv because the honda ign, takes alot of voltage to run effectivly. then go on to your plugs and wires make sure its not something stupid first before you pull your hair out trying to diagnos something .

hmmm...in addition to all the afforementioned stuff i would double check all connections in and around the distributor just to be sure.

I've had my ignitor start to misfire on me but not show a CEL until a week or two later.

Well I dropped some timing and took the FP up to 42 psi and went out on the "$1.60 dyno" (otherwise known as the local tollway) and the misfire has gone. WAHOOO!!!
I thought advanced timing would only lead to pinging at low speeds/high loads but ......
