Mirror
I have a 2003 Honda Pilot. I was adjusting the inside rear view mirror and it came off in my hand. It was almost 100 degrees in my car. I bought the rear view mirror adhesive, but I do not know how to get the mounting bracket or metal button off of the mirror. I suppose I could just put the primer and adhesive on and hold the whole mirror up on the windshield for several minutes, but I was going to try to follow the instructions and glue the bracket on first. Anybody know how to take the bracket off? I have looked at several YouTube videos, but none of them are like my bracket.
Ok. Believe it or not, I figured out how to take the bracket off. I saw a little patent number on the side of the plastic housing and googled it. I could not understand all of the technical terms, but I did understand that you had to rotate and slide it. So, I got my pliers and got a good grip and tried to rotate and slide and it came off. It was hard to get off and kind of hard to get back on. You put the bracket on sideways and then turn it straight. I'm not sure I could get it on after I glued the bracket. I may just put it together and glue the whole thing on the window.
