Default Need help b20v

So I have 96 civic hatch b20 vtec chipped p28 so I raced my buddy a few times today car ran great. Than decided to dump the car at like 5k rpm to do a burn out had a lot of wheel hop check engine light came on let out of it. Now runs with loss of power idles at 1700 rpm. Cel on all the time. Timing belt feels really tight

Haven't checked codes yet. But what's leads me to believe it skipped the timing belt is now I seem to have launch control lol. If I rev it up it hits about 4K rpm and bounces off rev limiter and lots of back firing

Sounds like you are in limp mode. Have to start with the codes. They will tell you everything and you shouldn't make any repairs until you know what they are.

So figured out the issue went and bought a scanner. Took it to my shop was about to open the scanner but decided to do some more check opened up my ecu and my chip for my tune popped out from all the wheel hop pushed it back in and ran like normal, I was definitely happy

Yes though this was going to be a major headache luckily it turned out to be a simple fix. And am going to get tuned. Trying to find a Hondas s300 first
