My buddy has a 97 del sol with a d16 sohc non vtec motor. He is going to do the mini me swap but wants to know if the stock valve cover will fit on the new sohc vtec head?

just curious how is the stock valve cover going to fit on a vtec head. if you look at where the plugs are suppose to go, Non vtec are in the backof the valve cover where vtec is in the front of the valve cover. The answer is NO. don't believe it look at pics, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

 

Aren't 96-00 valve covers the same regardless if it's a VTEC motor or not?

 

I don't think so. although I may be wrong.

 

96+ is the same, 95- is different.
