Default Milling CTR pistons......

is it okay to mill the ctr pistons instead of si rods? the reason i was thinking this cuz if i have to go back to stock i wouldnt have a problem. now also will milling the pistons weaken the pistons? any help please.....

mill pistons? y? ctr pistons will fit the si rods u just have to have the piston pins done by a machine shop (they r pressed in).

Seeing how the rod is a stronger and thicker material, I would suggest milling the rod, and not the piston. Not sure if it will change any of the properties of the piston pin journal, such as tolerances...

ctr's are cast and not billet aluminum, so there is less material to deal with in casts

y would u mill a rod? maybe balance, or resize but not mill.

cut material off the piston not the rod ...

yes it's ok to take material off the inside of the CTR piston's wrist pin area rather than the B16A rod. I've seen this done before. It's suggest to get the pistons balanced after they've had this modification done to them.
