Default mig welded turbo header?

say i was fairly broke after buying **** for one of my cars, and wanted a turbo setup together on the other. do you think i could mig weld up a header or should i wait and buy a tig welded one? o and 1 more choice. i could mock up a header with mig then have a shop bead it.

There are plenty of MIG welded manifolds out there, it really comes down to the quality of the weld rather than the type of welding.

i know quality matters. my bro does alot of welding at work and he is really good. its just they are thin and im afraid the welds might warp and crack from ridiculous egt's. im really considering a sequential twin turbo setup again after loosing intrest for like 6 months.

MIg welding is almost just as good as tig, i use mig for alot of different scenarios, and i am sure it would hold up fine with a header. i would see no reason to mock up the header with a mig and then having them bead it with a tig welder. you can bead with a mig welder, just get your amps down, wire speed, and gas mix, and practice the swirling techniques. Just reading a welding book helps alot, because their are many different techniques for laying down a bead. Once everything is set up right, you can definently run a strong bead with a mig welder.

i was really asking if it could be done. i honestly was thinking it would have problems but if 2 people think it would hold up and it saves me alot of money. i think my bro could pull it off. plus free labor.
