Hey, I recently picked up a Brown & Sharp outside Micrometer, but unfortunately it didnt come with a standard or an adjustment wrench. I'm looking at a set of rod standards, but what is the procedure for actually adjusting the micrometer?
Can anyone give me a good explanation for doing this or point me towards an online guide? Where do you phyically use the wrench on the mic to adjust it?
Thanks!

ok, i'll post a picture of it and maybe someone will see how to calibrate it, i probably can figure it out without the special wrench.
first of what size is the mic? Becuase if it is just a 0-1 u dont need any standards to calibrate it, just the wrench. 1-2 and up u will need the standards to adjust accordingly. to answer ur question as to where the wrench goes, there a small hole on the non moving part of the spindle and the wrench is just a mini spanner wrench. so whenyou have the guage in the mic just line up the zeros the best u can

its a 1-2" mic. I see a hole, but it is on part of the moving part of the handle. so I need to stick something in there and turn the handle or what?
