Default Measuring Coilovers

Does anybody have an ingenious way to measure each corner when adjusting your coilovers? Ive been using the finger gap method but its never accurate. Just wondering what other ppl to do get each corner the same height.

Count threads on the sleeve/shock body.

ironically enough at the same wheel gap my ground controls sit at different heights. first thing your going to say is they are installed wrong, but ive taken it apart maybe 4 times and everything is seated firmly. maybe my coilover sleeves are not equal length.

This happened to me too. I could not figure it out for the life of me. So I just lowered one side more than the other. Oh well....

My threads are also set equally but they sit at slighty different heights. Its not because your threads are off. IMO Its because of the extra weight being put on the springs due to us bein in the driver seat all the time

you can't use the thread count method to accuately set height. if more weight is on one corner than another, the ride height will already be thrown off if set at the same thread. plus, who wants to count threads all day? just measure from the bottom of each wheel edge (not tire) vertically up through the axle line to the bottom of the wheel well opening in the body.

I measured from the bottom of the perch, to the end of the threads. I managed to adjust them all equally within the millimeter (I can be pretty obsessive, yes), and everything looks pretty much level and balanced out.

Before I actually did that, I would just count rotations. (I had a point on the perch marked with a paint marker.) And this actually had things pretty close to even...just not within the millimeter.

This is on APEXi WS's for a 00 coupe.

the car is heavy on one end so dont use the thread counting. measure from the rim to the wheelwell.
