hello , i am tom , new to this forum , but i have been reading your info for a while now its great thanks
here is my problem ...i have a 96 honda civic ej9
i have just swapped with a prelude h22a2 ( p13 obd1 ecu )
i got it running with a few cels ( 2 cels)
i got one sorted , but n13 is a pain
that is the map sensor right ?
so i tested the wires for continuity , voltage ...
tryed repinning to the ecu in case i swapped a pin by accident ,
still throwing a cell ...
then i remembered that i damaged the map sensor from the prelude so i used one from the ej9 , could that be the problem ?
maybe different voltage ?
could anyone guide me thru this please ?

 

First things first, get the proper map sensor on it before you attempt to "fix" a problem.

i have ordered one allready on ebay

I'm not saying that is your problem. I am saying you need to have all of the correct parts before you can determine there even is a problem. This could be it, or it could be something else. Also, did you buy an ebay map sensor or an oem one just from ebay? The oem ones are not really that expensive...

trust me i have searched !!! i did this full engine harness modification alone ( well with google too !)
a real head ache !!!, and i am quite happy to have only two cells

 

Engine harnesses don't always have to be bad though. Researching before you start can make or break the outcome. I built a full engine harness for my CRX from scratch. I hope that pinout helps. Like I said, just research it some more before you dive in. And get the proper parts on first.
