Manuel transmission fluid... Which?
I am considering Redline 75w95 MTL. What have you heard? What's a good filter? Will I have enough space if to change fluid if car is on 2 foot lifts? Thanks.

You can just jack the passanger side up a little, remove the front wheel, and you will have enough room to change the fluid.
I used Honda MTF.....works great. Tranny shifts perfect.

I have the Redline MTF and i'm impressed with it, however it is for more extreme driving, and does take some time to warm up. It is difficult to get it into certain gears when you're just driving around, but when you're at the track nothing is better
I used redline in before, it made my 3rd gear grind because the weight was too light. With fresh honda mtf is stopped skratching and feels smoother shifting too.
just my opinnion.

I've only heard horror stories about Redline transmission fluids. I would recommend using Honda MTF or KAAZ Powertrain Gear Oil if you have a LSD. If you're dead-set on not using the Honda MTF, BG SyncroShift is an awesome transmission fluid as well ...most people are very impressed w/ the BG product; good luck.
OEM fluid is fine.
you should have the car level when you fill the tranny with fluid, otherwise you will not get the correct amount in the case.
to drain it... a 2 foot height is fine, mine was on a jackstand maybe 14 inches up all around.

I use Redline all throughout my car, and have never had a problem. When my trans was torn apart to put on a new clutch, I asked the chief mechanic to take a look at the transmission...I wanted to see if there was any wear. The guys at the shop even said it was very clean. I to had some grinding getting into third sometimes, but a new race clutch took care of that.
Redline Shockproof Ultralite (70w0) - that stuff is good and generally thought to be a bit better than their MTL for Hondas see KGPrecision Engineering for ex...
ive been using mobil one gear oil, tranny is a lot smoother but still having problems getting into some gears immediately, the gear input shaft may have been damaged when my stock clutch blew.
Thanks for the all replys, very helpful!
owen_the_soyboy: I never thought about it like that, I would have just jacked my front, then it wouldn't be level, thanks!
I might just go with Honda MTF, later when new engine is in, I will switch to redline for the tracks...
