maintenance sched. - mileage vs. months?
I have a 97 gs-r, with exceptionally low mileage for its year. I'm pushing 60k miles total probably within the next couple months, so I was wondering...the Acura maintenance sched. in the manual says follow the schedule by months or miles, whichever comes first. Well based on mileage, I needa get all the 60k mile tune-up stuff done. But based on months driven, then I needa deal wit the timing belt n water pump n all of that stuf that's not supposed to be dealt with til 90k miles.
So do I have to get all that other stuff done as if I had 90k miles, just because the car's a bit aged? It seems like I should be able to just follow the maintenance sched. by mileage n it should be okay...am i wrong?

I'd just follow the milage schedule unless you have some reason to suspect the timing belt is at risk. They usually last till well past 100k on a stock motor anyway.

Don't push your luck with the t-belt. The rest of the stuff can probably wait.
