1997 RS with 100,000 Miles - what should I service?
Hi all,
My wifes' Integra RS has hit 100,000 miles. Before we got married, she would always take it to the stealer for the infamous 500 dollar oil change. Now that the Car has 100k miles on it, she wants to bring it back to the dealer. I am semi mechanically inclined (or at least have some friends that are) & I would prefer to not make a donation to the local Acura dealer.
Could someone point out what needs to be done at 100,000 miles to ensure the car stays running for another 100,000 miles?
Thanks,
Rich

First thing, was the Timing belt and water pump changed at 90K miles?? If not then that should be changed. The rest of the mainteance items are those at 30K miles.
Here' s a good thread with the maintenance checklists: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=217861
Another recommendation would be to get a Helms service manual. Its definitley worth the investment.

timing belt replacement kit with water pump.
any other belts that need replacement
engine flush.
fuel filter.
check air filter.
adjust valves?
basically check everything hahaha...
for the amount of money...i would start a rebuild with performance parts.
buy a spare B18 block, balance the crank, eagle rods, pistons, b16 head..
notice i said start..
