Default maintenance required on a 2000 civic si?

What is that little box on the si tac of a 2000 civic si. It goes from green to red. I'm in between. ????

there should be a little hole in the cluster you can stick your key in and it will turn it back to green. someone didnt press it all the way last time

All that thing does is it rolls from green to orange to red with the odometer. In theory you'd use that as an indicator so you'll know when to get your next oil change.

It has absolutely no direct connection to any problem you might or might not (probably not) have with your car.
