Default Main Bolt Thread Pitch!!!!!!

im trying to get my engine together and im going nuts, the other day i had issues with a thread on a hole so i had it retapped, basically the threads cleaned up. well i got the bolt in there and went to putting the otjher back in, apparently, one of the bolts is SLIGHTLY bent and is damaging threads once is gets about a 1/4 inch from being all the way down. This is really frustrating since ineed the motor in the car by friday night. Now i need to fix another thread and im NOT taking it back to a machine shop im just going to buy the rethreader!!

WHAT PITCH IS THE MAIN BOLT THREAD. ITS AN LS BLOCK, IM SURE ALL OF THE BLOCKS FOR B SERIES ARE THE SAME PITCH. IM USING GSR BOLTS BECAUSE I HAVE THE GSR BLOCK GIRDLE CONVERSION. ALL THE BOLTS THREAD IN FINE EXCEPT THE ONE. HELP SO I CAN GET THIS **** DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try to call up the machine shop and ask them what size tap they used.

If you cant get a hold of them and you need to get it done go to home depot, ace or any harware store and get various size metric bolts with all different thread pitches and see which is the right size. It shouldnt cost you more then like $5 in bolts if you can look at the thread and come close to the size. once you find out which bolt fits right, then go buy the tap.

sorry i couldnt be more of a help but that will work if your crunched for time and noone has an exact answer.
