Default Main bearing clearence.

I asked this in the All Motor forum since its for an NA application and I mostly hang out in that forum, but Im thinking someone in this forum might be able to help me out.

If you are going for hp in the NA version you need to add clearance to the bearings. A rule of thumb is .001 for every inch in diameter for that journal. For example my H22 had a 1.89 inch diameter rod journal, so the bearings are .0017-.0018. Not sure on your particular crank but does sound a little big. I would also recomend using the honda bearings, b/c alot of people have had issues spinning ACL's. Also don't go by just the plastiguage, use a dial indicator as well they are more accurate.

Alot of people means 2 people who made 3 threads each on HT about spinning thier ACL bearings, and now 1,243,454 have just repeated it any chance they get because they don't realize that bearing CLEARANCES owned the original 2 people.
