<-----NEWBIE...pls dont hate!

ive got a macpherson strut system up front in my 85 civic. ive been looking around for sum springs to drop my car and people seem to be selling only the rear springs. how do i drop my front end that uses the macpherson struts?

 

you have torsion bar suspension (no springs) - to lower it, just turn the torsion bar adjusting bolts.

 

thanks. i get it now. but if the height adjusting nut is loosened, it lowers the car...how much should it be lowered? i dont think the suspension up front was designed to be lowered too much. i was thinking of a 1 1/2" - 2" drop im worried about the nut coming out. what would happen if it did come out? how will it affect the suspension?
