Suspension Preferences?
I am looking into replacing my suspension on my 00 LX 4dr. The car is naturally heavy plus a strio system (gotta have the tunes and TV for my frequent trips back to New Orleans from ATL) and I want to use it for Auto X but mainly looking for a good everyday driving suspension. My springs now are low enough to make my tire rub my fender when I take sharp/steep turns or inclined turns. Just looking to see what everyone recomends. Cheers

Still daily driven.
Neuspeed Sport springs (1.5/1.75 drop) = 150
KYB AGX adjustable dampers = 300 (stiff when autox and soft for the long drives)
Suspension Techniques sway bar set = 250 (25mm front 19mm rear)
Upper Strut bar front and back = 80 (APC and weld joints)
Lower Tie bar = 90 (Neuspeed/DC sports)
But to start out, just get the shocks and springs and the rest when you see fit.

Re: Suspension Preferences?
Well, whatever you decide...make sure you get adjustable damper settings like Spade. My Tanabe coilovers don't have the adjustable damper and it is a really rough ride when I'm just driving the shitty Atlanta roads.
However, for a cheaper yet effective setup I would suggest some Ground Controls or Skunk2 coils with some Tokico, KYB, or Koni adjustables. Which ever you can get cheaper.
Tanabe Sustec 5-0 w/ pillow ball mounts - $700 (slightly used)
ITR LCA's - $90 (necessary for the Tanabes)
Suspension Tech front/rear anti-sway - $81 (GREAT eBay find)
Neuspeed front strut bar - $100
Neuspeed rear strut bar - $100
Rota Attacks w/ Falken Azenis - $550
My entire suspension setup WITH good wheels and tires (VERY, VERY important) cost me around $1650. Which is around the cost of many coil-over kits. Just look around for good deals and closeouts. I suggest eBay!

Re: Suspension Preferences? (RiceD16)
I would personally stay away from Tein HR or HA (I had about 7 different types and sets of these (EF, EG, DC, DC-R)), all ended up leaking, or without pressure, bent, or rusted after a year of driving. they can be rebuilt for about $100 each (by tein USA), but they take their sweet time to do it. and once rebuilt, driven on the street these will not last very long.
personally next set will be re-valved bilteins (non-adj) with GCs or even R shocks with mild GC coilovers.

Re: Suspension Preferences? (RiceD16)
Personally I have had great luck with:
Koni yellows and H&R race springs
Koni yellows and GC coil springs
KYB AGX with H&R race and sport springs
I liked these above combination better than: (mainly the struts were not my favorite)
Tokico blue and Eibach pro-springs
Tokico Illumina and Eibach pro-springs
I'd say you can't go wrong with Koni or KYB struts and some good springs. Either oem sway bars or Suspension Tech sway bars would do nicely. And stut bars only if you have money left over to spend. Good struts, springs, and tires are more important IMO. Good luck

Re: Suspension Preferences? (SLPR)
Thanks to all who have replied...already have the upper strut bars; the springs I've got on are 1.5" but settled lower of crouse. The Eibach that are on there seem alright. Would you all recomend replacing them with coilovers...i.e. is it worth it on a budget, do they make that much of a difference to afford this change and I need an adjustable camber kit, any recomendations, i've adjusted the tow to compensate some in the mean time, but still wearing the tires a little? Cheers

I like the Skunk2 adjustable a-arms for camber adjustment over the Ignalls kits. Back that up with a good alignment and your tire wear problem should be gone. I really don't feel that true coilovers are much of a budget item. You could do just as well with some good struts and new springs/or the Eibachs you already have.
