Default machine work questions

Im going to do a set of pistons and rods in a b18c. This is going to be a turbo build aiming for 9:1cr. Looking for around 450whp on stock sleeves with a good tune. Also gonna have a block guard installed. Is bore/hone and polish crank enough or does the block need to be decked too??

the block will need to be decked if straightness is out of spec.
If its imperative for you to use a block guard make sure they bore/hone with it on.
