Default lsvtec turbo

ok guys, i have a ls turbo setup, and i also have a gsr head i am planning to build the head and put it on the curent setup i have.


this is what i have planned so far

obd1 gsr head

port and polished
skunk2 intake mani
skunk2 cam gears
new honda valves
honda gsr cams
dual valve springs--not sure what brand yet
retainers not sure what brand yet
thick copper head gasket

the block

has 20xxx on it
block guard
honda ls rods
honda ls pistons
honda gsr oil pump


please advise on recommendations, suggetions to make this setup better

thats nice, first what power are you trying to get? how many psi?
for a mild boost setup+ the cams that you have you wont need anything better than lets say itr outer springs and portflow(or whatever else) inners.

i will be running 6psi whenever the car is driven, and 12psi for high boost,

am not really concerned with power watever power it make will be more than my curent setup


a few guys on anothr board was suggesting that i change the ls pistons and rods......

do you think that is necessary for only 12psi?

i have been running 12psi on my other 2 turbo ls setups since may and no problems so far, what do you think?

its ALL about the tuning, if the engine is tuned right, then it will be happy. If its not tuned right at 12psi you can burn stock piston quick
