LSVTEC knock sensor problem
my boy recently installed his lsvtec into his 90' crx and ran into a problem. when he started and tested the car, it hesitated and bogged from about 2000-3500 rpm. we thought that it might be the ecu (unchipped stock obd0 jdm pr3), so we tested it with a non-knocksensor, non-vtec ecu and it drove fine. what are his options? he has a hondata but has to break the motor in before dyno tuning. is there any way he can get around this problem without chipping the ecu to disable the knocksensor? he could install the knock sensor into the block, but is it worth it? it is understood that this problem will be solved as soon as he installs the hondata. taking all opinions.
i have ls/vtec in my crx, its a very easy fix, go to the hardware store and find a bolt that fits the knock sensor, then take a fourteen mm. bolt that fits into the back of the head just below the the vavle cover on the driver side, usually where i pull the engine from and weld the nut and the bolt together and extend the wire just like when you added that wire when you put in the harness.

this is basically what I am doing as well but I am putting the KS in one of the holes that hold the Alternator Bracket
