Default LSD tranny?

I've been trying to buy a LSD tranny, I don't know too much about how to tell if they are LSD equiped or not. I thought that if you could see through the Diff hole it was LSD, if not then it wasn't. The first tranny I looked at that was advertised as LSD was a YS1 but it had the Bar through the diff hole. Now I looked at another, it's a Y1 with a bar through the middle. Could someone help me with this? I've been to a ton of sites, that even say it need to be an open diff hole. But Either a bunch of people got screwed when they bought thier trannies or, im wrong. I'm hoping that I am wrong.

sounds like a bunch of people got screwed or trying to take you for a fool. Lsd tranny has no rod through it, its straight through.

I'm not sure if this is the case, but don't confuse and open differential with an open hole in the differential.

An open differential is a non-lsd differential, and it has the bar going through the hole.

A limited slip differential is not an open differential, even though there is no bar through it.
