LSD Techs Needed!!!!!!
A friend of mine got a jdm gsr lsd tranny. He drove on it 1 day and took it out. he said that he could barely steer around corners with it!?!? he described it like if you turn a corner the tranny was steering your wheels straight! any ideas what he is dealing with? (tranny is fs, cheap, thinking of buying it)

Are you sure it's a factory LSD? I have heard of people buying jdm transmissions and finding aftermarket LSDs (some of which behave this way) in them.

There are two type of diffetrentials for Honda/Acura. One is a gear type(Cusco,Quaife, stock oem honda), it uses gears to apply the pressure to the diiferential to lock up. These are very smooth because the gears allow for smooth engagement and disengagement. The other type is a clutch type(KaaZ), these differentials uses multi clutche disks much like a clutch does to engage. Much like a clutch chatters the diif will do the same and cause a chattering or hard steer when cornering. If it is a clutch type they are pretty harsh for street driving and wouldnt suggest buying it unless you plan on putting something else in there. These are mainly used in track cars. Hope that helps.
