Default LSD questions...please read!

Hey guys...need another opinion. How many of you have had experience with any of the various LSD setups available for a GSR swap? Which is the best? My mechanic has the Phantom Grip setup on his drag car....but doesn't like it. What do you guys think?

Phantom isn't a real LSD, it puts blocks into the gears, i think SCC has a whole article on installing one.

I'd get a KAZZ or find a Type R LSD. Get a real one if you expect real results.. remember you get what you pay for.

I use to run a phantom grip, it was okay. I didn't have any problems, and it seems to work pretty well for the price. I now run a new tranny with a Quaife and it seems to be better because it was more consistant.

i'd recommend getting a quaife. the price is $805 from groupbuycenter.com, go to their site and chek it out. quaifeusa.com they even have a limited lifetime warranty, the warranty covers anything that has to do with drag racing.

Yeah, the Quaife is pretty much indestructible. It's very quiet as well, and very responsive...

I got a new ITR LSD for $450 a few years ago, bough tnew bearings for $25 each, installed it myslef with a new clutch, and have been happy autocrossing, tracking and daily driving with that setup for 2 years now.

oem ITR LSD in a GSR tranny or ITR tranny gets
cheap.
reliable.
effective.
