Default LSD OIL ???

Just finished installing a Prelude engine in a Civic. Got a LSD tranny for it, too. The oil that came out of the tranny was sort of red in colour.

Everyone says to use 10-30 oil, but that is not was in there. Would a LSD use automatic tranny fluid (which is red)? Or is Honda MFD oil red?

The tranny may have come from Japan. It is marked M24B. I assume it is clutch-ype LSD, but am not sure. Is there an easy way to tell? I assume differnt types of LSDs use different oil.

As soon as I get the ignition resitors sorted out the engine will eb ready to start. Then I need to add oil to the tranny.

Thanks.
