LSD Break in, Myth or Fact ??
Hi there fellow honda-tech'rs.
im planning to get a LSD, to be more specific a Kaaz LSD.
for my non-lsd b16a box.
my question is simple, after a fresh install of a brand new LSD do you need to break in the LSD. i.e Figure of 8's continuously for half hour ?.
The only problem with this is
1. somewhere big enough to do this
2. not looking like an idoit while doing it.
im getting my mechanic to do the install but i dont think he will break it in as its not an easy job and takes time to break in. Hence more labour costs involved with this already costy install.
IS there another way to break in the LSD without doing figures of 8's?.
i read somewhere awhile ago that this one guy just had his car on car jacks and just accelerated his car keeping the speed low for like haff an hour also.
he claims that this worked just as well. can anyone confirm this ? i want the lsd to last but this breaking in method seems silly. not the concept just the action.
